Players searching “how to get gum” are usually stuck because they are hoarding cash, skipping paper, or dumping gum into the wrong era. This page separates the two wallets and tells you what public gameplay actually shows.

Gum versus cash versus Robux

Keep three buckets straight:

1. Cash — rises when you collect trash bags, paper, and later drop types (poop, bananas, eggs, fish). It funds the left-side shop: more noobs, more rats, more horses, extra trash cans, and pollution buys.
2. Gum — the skill-tree fuel. Early paper is the most visible gum source. Later helpers convert their drop types into more gum if you bought the matching nodes.

Early gum: paper, noobs, and trash cans

Public playthroughs of this place show a starter loop that still holds on 29 August 2026:

• Pick up trash until you can hire noobs (helper caps around twenty-five in recorded sessions—verify the live tooltip).
• Paper starts spawning as you scale collection. Paper is slow if you click every scrap yourself; rats later help, but early gum still comes from grabbing paper and buying “paper income / paper value” nodes.
• Trash cans filling up is a silent gum killer. When cans are full you stop collecting. Buy extra cans and capacity nodes so paper and bags keep converting.

Do not save gum for a mythical late dump. Incremental trees reward the cheapest node that increases gum per minute. A doubled paper tick now beats a flashy late node you cannot afford for an hour.

Mid-game gum: rats, horses, gorillas, dinosaurs

Once rats are in the helper list, they collect trash and paper while you look at the tree. Recorded F2P routes buy rat speed, rat trash multipliers, and “papers are not collected automatically” only after the floor is covered. Horses shift the drop type to poop (including golden and diamond variants in the live tree). Gorillas add bananas. Dinosaurs add eggs. Each era has gum-on-drop nodes—buy those when the matching helper is actually on the map. Spending gum on “more gorillas” before Miocene is a common stall.

Creature names and pass extras (More Rats, Golden Rats, More Horses, More Gorillas, More dinosaur) live on Creature Helpers and Game Passes. Passes are optional convenience, not a gum requirement.

SEA gum: seagulls, fish, statues, seaweed

The turtle badge Turtles Don’t Eat Plastics Silly is the official “You unlocked the SEA!” stamp—there is no badge named SEA. After the gate, public footage shows:

• Shredders / tunnels that process bags so you are not babysitting every pile.
• Seagulls that steal garbage and return fish (value can double with seaweed “clean mutation” style nodes).
• Statues and chests as rare seagull returns with much larger payouts.
• A “go to the moon” style sink that is a tease, not a gum farm you should empty the tree for.

Ocean details: SEA Update. If your gum graph dies after Mesozoic, you probably unlocked the sea button and then stood on land.

What not to spend gum on

• Nodes for a helper you have not unlocked.
• Cosmetic-looking Robux-tree toggles until you have read the live tooltip (Prestige may have moved some of these into F2P—check, do not assume).
• Infinite-gum scripts. Community loaders advertise Inf Gum; they violate Roblox rules and can brick a save after a remote patch. Feature notes only: Inf Money & Gum Script.
• Fake codes. Active Codes is still empty for this place as of this writing.

A practical gum session

1. Time sixty seconds of paper plus bag collection; write the gum delta.
2. Buy the cheapest node that raises that delta (paper value, extra cans, or the current helper’s gum-on-drop).
3. Re-time. If the delta did not move, you bought the wrong era.
4. Feed the new pace into the Cleanup Calculator when you are chasing a cash goal, not a gum goal—the tool does not read gum automatically.
5. Stop for the day when the next node costs more than several minutes of observed gum. That is the signal to change helpers or open SEA, not to paste a loader.

Prestige, rebirth, and gum

Prestige as an update opened former Robux upgrades to free-to-play players. TIME TRAVELER’s official text is “REBIRTH FOR THE FIRST TIME.” Public award counts on 29 August 2026 show well over a hundred thousand TIME TRAVELER stamps, so rebirth is happening—but we still will not invent how much gum you keep.
